There were so many times in our bowling careers when we wished we could have just picked up the phone and got some pro advice. We started the Skype-a-Coach service for this very reason. We believe that all bowlers should have access to top-notch coaches.
Don’t want to talk bowling? No problem, the coaches are happy just to talk about life in general (smile) It’s your 15 min.
So how does it work? It’s simple…

Since I’ve had bowling lessons with Diandra before, I would like to Skype with her.
What I have already been taught from Diandra has been invaluable. Even though I am an acomplished bowler, I always have a desire to improve,
Skyping is a great vehicle in the drive to bowling success. Wherever my success in bowling lies, skyping is part of the road map that gets me there.
I would like to Skype with Ron.
Our sport has evolved to use technology at the highest levels; I’m happy to know coaching is taking advantage of technology too. With so many bowlers seeking help, using Skype to communicate is an eloquent solution to overcome geographic challenges. IAB will be able to serve more bowlers, while still providing superior instruction. Bravo!
Skype -a- Coach would be a Great follow Up to my Bowling Boot Camp Experience! I attended the Camp, I Have the Video Analysis, and the icing on the Cake would be Skyping with Ron, Diandra, or Jason every now and then to keep the Picture in my head. The IAB Frame Work has opened my Mind and Eyes to a new way of observing my bowling game, and I have many new questions for The Picasso’s of IAB. Lucky me, with Skype-a-Coach, I don’t have to wait until the next Boot Camp in Seattle to ask all these questions.
I would like to Skype with Diandra most because I missed her presentation at camp.
While I could certainly use this myself I would love to win a Skype session for my husband Ryan. I know that he would love to pick Jason’s brain. We had a coaching clinic with Jason earlier this year while Ryan was still a one handed bowler. Within weeks Ryan became a two handed bowler and is kicking himself he didn’t do it earlier and utilize his time with Jason.
I would Skype with any coach as they have way more knowledge than I do and learning never stops..
How could I benefit from Skype coaching? I’m a two-hander and not the youngest in the crowd. (That should be enough!) Talking to Jason should help, or Diandra since she taught Jason how to win a few more PBA titles. (Joking…kinda. hehe) I tend to struggle with lower speed and inconsistent spare shooting. It feels like I’m on the edge of becoming a pretty good bowler, but I need “professional help” to get there. ^_- I’ve learned a massive amount about bowling technology, lane play, and technique, but my body and mental game hasn’t quite caught up yet, I guess. Please, help me!
I would like to talk to Ron. I want this because when i bowl i do things
wrong , like on my approach my swing ends up sometimes behind my back
and i want to fix that by talking more with an IAB coach.
This one’s for my wife. She will only listen to certain people, which definitely doesn’t include me! Her swing timing is similar to Diandra’s and she uses a 4-step approach. Talking to any of the coaches that she’s willing to listen to would be beneficial. (Her favourite famous coach is Fred Borden if that helps.) Being a “reformed” long-time back-up bowler, and briefly a full-roller, she has come a long way in a short time. Much potential. She tends to drift right (right-hander, born left-handed) and not have a good feel for focal point targeting. She already out-scores me regularly, but it would be nice for her to progress to a higher level.
I would love to speak to Diandra. She is my inspiration when it comes to bowling.
The coach I used to have, used to use film of Diandra to show me the way I should be bowling. Ever since he introduced me to Diandra I’ve followed her success.
I am currently a 5 step bowler but since Diandra has moved to 4 step I think it could improve my game & especially my timing & would love to hear more from her on how to go about it.
Thank you
I would like to Skype with Diandra. I have been a big fan of hers and think the world of bowling style and her many accomplishments. I would like to get some wisdom into what makes her such a great bowler so that I can make adjustments to my game. I particularly need help with my arm swing and release. Although I am not as young (number-wise) as I used to be, I have a lot of bowling left in me. I want to be as good as I can be and I believe Skyping with Diandra is a great start! As a bonus, she is a Chicagoan like me!!
How can Skype-a-Coach affect my game?
Skype-a-Coach can take my game to extraordinary heights with the help of some of the best coaches in the world. It can help me solidify the knowledge I already possess as well as give me unique insight on various aspects of the game of bowling from world class professionals in the IAB staff. As an avid league and tournament bowler, I strive to learn all that I can about the sport of bowling and now I have an opportunity to learn from some of the best. I’ve never had the benefit of coaching period, let alone professional coaching and this unique opportunity will give me a chance to better myself and take my game to the next level.
It’s difficult to choose between coaches with such unique talents and abilities, but if i would have to choose just one it would have to be Diandra. Her knowledge about the game is extraordinary and her physical game is so pure and smooth. To learn from her would be sensational and I think Jason Belmonte can vouch for that
I appreciate the support of this sport. I feel that it would be helpful if someone could access internet connection at the bowling alleys (free wifi) so you could watch the bowlers bowl and help them live through skype. I feel this would help a lot of bowling center business, coaches, and people like me who want to improve. Anyways keep it up. Just giving my two cents. Thank you for your time and attention.
I would love to have a skype-a-coach session with Jason. Being the only two-hander here in the Philippines so far (I have heard of younger bowlers trying it out, but haven’t met anyone at my level), I have struggled with being different and being out there alone. I’ve only had youtube videos of Jason and Osku to develop my game and so far it has worked, but I know that in order to move to the next level, I need an expert eye to watch me work. Having Jason critique my game is the best gift I can possibly get this Christmas.
Congratulations Jan Edson Gano aka Pinoybelmo of bowlingballexchange, remember me? To everyone, our winner often post at bowlingballexchange. Funny, the winner is someone who degrades the Belmo style over the Palermaa style. He once told everyone that “I would recommend watching Osku Palermaa more rather than Belmo, Belmo’s way of doing it is less sustainable in the long run, he torques his body way too much… I shudder at the thought of him eventually twisting his knee or something” as reference to how he lambast the belmo style online check out

Being “the only two hander” there in the philippines shows how unpopular it is. It funny on how fellow one hand bowlers Biboy Rivera and Paeng Nepomoceno both from the Philippines haven’t heard of your high level of game in your country and was told of
your 160 average for year 2011 on the Philipine Bowling Conf/Asian Bowling Federation. Jokingly told them that if 160 is considered high level in the philippines then bowling must really be bad there.
Lee I am sorry if you are getting pissed at Osku and Belmo racking up win after win, and validating the two-handed bowling style as a viable option. I remember you mentioning that the two-handed approach has no place in the sport, and you would devote all your time, energy and probably miniscule skill in beating every two-handed bowler you meet. I salute you and hope you have minimal success in the not so foreseeable future. I have my family to attend to and my business to care of, so I would like it very much if you would continue your high-flying, two-hander bashing ways on worthier adversaries. God Bless.
Sorry but I just have to comment to correct any misconception and to be fair. This guy post at http://www.philippinewatchclub.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=17&start=120 as kingjergano (king jan edson gano) claiming to have 3 perfect games as of Nov 2011! Just to let people know that it is not true that he is the only two handed bowler and that two handed bowling had never caught on here in the Philippines and that the younger two handed bowlers are not at par to his level! it seems that the IAB believed him in declaring him the winner. SO SAD
I’m an RP Youth Bowler and I am a two handed bowler whose PBC averages is higher that his PBC average of 160 and even higher that his alleged 190 average that he boast of in his other posts! It’s safe to say that there are at least one two handed bowler in every bowling center here in the philippines (young and old)! Still few but a lot like me who even started earlier than he did with still no perfect game during PARCTICES ONLY
The PBC averages will show a lot of bowlers way above the 160 average among them are those who bowls two handed like brian tanlo who has a 183 PBC average, paulo darroca who has a 199 PBC average, etc. I’m just posting this so that this person should learn to be responsible on what he post online and not step on others just to boast or win a price. Alway remeber that PRIDE SETS FORTH BEFORE DESTRUCTION!!!
Wow it seems I really pissed a lot of people of with this win huh? Just to be clear, I’ve never posted a PBC AVERAGE. EVER. I am a casual league bowler, I have my family to take care of and do not have the time or energy to waste arguing with indignant full-time bowlers like you. So whoever you are hiding behind a username, good for you, I wish you well on your journey as a two-hander, maybe in the future I will look forward to getting to know you in person. I am expecting my firstborn child and not bowling for the foreseeable future, so if you want to carry on the two-handed tradition in our country, I wish you luck and will pray for your continued success.
(oh and just for the curious folks out there, yes my PBC average is 160, I do not score even decent scores on sports shots, and I have perfect games on practice shots. thank you for asking).
I would like to have a skype session with Jason belmonte. To me bowling isn’t just a sport it’s a passion it’s the only game I’ve ever loved and hopefully I can make a carrier out of it one day. I will stay up past midnight some nights thinking about how I could get better and what I need to work on. There are no bowling coaches where I live so you have to teach yourself everything I have multiple questions to ask but nobody to ask them to. Thats why I think even just a 15 min skype session can improve my game dramatically.
I would love my husband to have a session with Jason. He has been an avid bowler since he was a child, and when we got together 7 yrs ago, he got me bowling and I never stopped. We actually got married at a bowling alley ON the approach! My husband is a lefty who is now carrying a 235 avg. He is very good…but I would love to surprise him with a chance to get better!
I would really like the opportunity to speak to Diandra. I never can learn enough about the sport and appreciate coaching input from any sources I can find that I trust and respect. Everybody has different thoughts on the best way to improve and by combining all those different thought processes I can find the things that work best with my game. And since I am a very traditional stroker relying on accuracy and good ball motion rather than power, I would imagine Diandra would know all about that! Anything she would have to say about matching up the armswing with the feet, and how to add the release into that combination would be valuable information.
I have never got coach sessions. It would be great if I’d have the opportunity to talk to Diandra and she could help me improve my game. I am currently playing in 2 bowling leagues and my dream is to become a professional player someday. I need to know how to get there.
I really have the passion for this game.
Thanks.

I think it could do wonders for my game; however, I do not want it for me. I would love to win a skype a coach with either have Jason or Diandra for one of my students – it would be a great Christmas gift and one I think they would enjoy well beyond anything they would normally be getting.
You guys are amazing and for me to win a coaching session to be able to pass off to one of my less fortunate students (monetarily speaking) would be a Christmas wish come true for me and I know it would be one for them as well.
Happy Holidays to you all!
I would love to Skype with Jason Belmonte. I had heard about him and decided to try his style of bowling. I later went to a Vanderbilt bowling camp and they gave me the nickname Belmo after Jason Belmonte. Since then I’ve gotten the highest average on my schools bowling team, recently scored a 210 (my first 200!!), and taught some of my friends how to two-hand. He posted a quote on his fan page that said “It’s not how hard you fall. It’s how you get back up as a bowler that matters” and that quote has helped me through a lot. Everyone said I would never be any good two-handed but thanks to Jason’s quotes I’ve proven them wrong. He’s an amazing inspiration and a great person to say that they are your hero. Thank you Jason, for giving me the strength and the inspiration to never give up not matter what people say.
I think the skype coaching would help my game because I’m a youth bowler and I’m always open to tips and suggestions. Also youth bowlers are the future of bowling. I think i could finally get to that 200 average and start winning some tournaments.
My dream is to bowl out on tour, I have the heart and soul to be out there, and my game is sharper than ever. It would be incredible to talk to one of the tour’s greatest Jason Belmonte. It would be an honor and would be the experience of a life time! Also a great christmas present!
Thanks Guys!

Being a Silver level coach I understand the importance of good coaching. I try to take every opportunity I have to work with other great coaches. If I were to win the Skype lesson, I would benefit greatly from the one on one instruction from a Gold level coach. I have been in a 5 month slump and I’m scoring the worst I have in 6 years.
I hope I can win the Skype lesson so I can find out what I’m missing to help improve my game to where it should be.
We just want to thank everyone who participated in the contest! Recently there were several comments posted concerning the winner. Our goal is to help everyone master their craft to make high-quality coaching as accessible as possible.
We chose our winner for a variety of reasons and feel confident he’ll benefit from Skype-a-Coach and share what he’s learned. We want to encourage the growth of a supportive community and feel it’s best for us to all stay positive and cheer each other on!
We would absolutely love to connect with you all, so if you are still interested in Skype-a-Coach you can learn more about and sign up for the service here: http://www.iabowling.com/our-services/skype-a-coach/
Thanks You All!!
Hi,
I would like to skype with Jason. Jason has an unusual way of bowling and I think he might be the right person to help me. I throw the ball using an unusual way. I use my pinkie and ring finger with my thumb. Its like holding a baseball u can say. lol My main problem that I am having is with my timing and being consistent with my release. I take a 5 step approach and I do have a lot of revs on my ball. Also, its hard for me to find the right drill pattern for how I release the ball. The flare I put on my ball, makes it look like a basketball. lol Id truly like to get a Professionals point of view on my style and any info on what can help me be more consistent with my game. Also to help me get an idea of drill layouts and ball selections.
Sincerely, Jim M. Florida
Hi Jim,
I’d love to have the chance to Skype with you and I’m sure I can give you some solid advice on your game. However, for the drill layouts and ball selections – Ron might be your best man to Skype with. As a former pro-shop owner (& an amazing one at that), I defer to him on these topics. Which ever you decide (hopefully both
